Description of our house
We offer a spacious new apartment on 2nd floor, just outside of Reykjavik's center. Open kitchen with all new appliances. Three bedrooms, one with a queen size bed, TV and DVD player, two children's room with single beds and lots and lots of toys (TV, VCR and Playstation 2 in one of the children's room). The living room and the dining room are connected. There can sit 8 at the dining table and the living room has a TV, DVD player, stereo with a CD player and radio. The sofa in the living room can sleep 3. Washing machine and tumble dryer in a seperate room. Nice and clean bathroom with a tub and a shower. Spacious balcony. Our car is a Mazda Tribute (5 people), automatic, with air cond., CD player, radio and a sun roof. We also offer use of the boy's bicycles.

Our neighborhoodThe apartment is situated in the outskirts of Reykjavik but since distances are not great in Reykjavik it takes only about 10 min to get to the city center by car. Because the apartment is placed in the outskirts it takes only 10-15 min to walk to one of Iceland's nature parks. Swimming pool with hot tubs is within walking distance.
Even though distances are not great, public transport is not that great. Therefore we recommend a car.

Something about ourselvesWe are a couple Lasse (38) and Gudrun (38), living together with two boys, Gunnar (10) and Gylfi (6). Gudrun is a lawyer working for the tax authorities and Lasse is computer consultant. Lasse is Danish and we travel quite often to Denmark to visit family. We love travelling whenever we are able to get away. We can travel on short notice. We have not done home exchange before, but are keen to try. We promise to treat your property with respect.
