Description of our house
[
![]() ]
Boston is the second most popular city for European tourists in the US. We are originally from New York City, and find our neighborhood in Boston to be very much like our old neighborhood in Brooklyn. Our home is around the corner from good restaurants and the 'T' (Boston's metro), yet the street is very quiet with lovely trees and parks nearby. There are 3 bedrooms, living room, dining room, library with fold-out sleep-sofa, a renovated kitchen, and 2 full baths, one with a jacuzzi and the other with a walk-in shower. There is a clothes washer/dryer in the flat, and private parking behind the building if you choose to exchange cars (Volvo V40). Please note: Our son is very allergic to cats so we cannot exchange for a home with cats, even if the cats will not be there during the exchange.

Boston is the second most popular destination for European tourism in the USA. The Brookline/Coolidge Corner neighborhood is family-friendly, with parks, play grounds and excellent public transportation. The T (Boston's mass transit) stops around the corner (Green Line 'C') and you can walk to dozens of excellent restaurants, shops, art museums, and Fenway Park if you like American baseball. We are about 45 minutes to the beaches of Cape Cod. New York City is 3 1/2 hours by car or 2 1/2 hours by high-speed train. Something about ourselves

My husband is Chief Academic Officer at a nearby college; I am a Dean at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design and also have a design business. Our two boys are 11 and 7, and both are excellent travelers and respectful of other people's homes! We have exchanged with Home For Exchange 5 times: Florence (2006), Nimes (2007), La Jolla (2008), London (2009) and Amsterdam (2010). We look forward to doing it again. Our exchange partner in London wrote about our exchange for the Telegraph http://www.telegraph.co.uk ![]()
