Description of our house

Our condo is on the sixth floor of a 26 floor relatively new building. Our unit has been recently renovated with high end appliances, wood floors and carpets. The building is conveniently located in the downtown area of Vancouver close to all of the city's many attractions. The condo unit is large and comfortable. The master bedroom has a king bed and the second bedroom has a queen sized Murphy bed. The second bedroom also serves as a den or office with a desk overlooking the view of the water. There is a fully equipped kitchen and a separate pantry with wine fridge, washer, dryer etc. There is a large dining room and an adjoining living room again with views of the water. There is a separate TV room also with an elevated bistro table for two. The area is very safe but in addition there is 24 hour security staff on site and high level security for all entrances into the building.

We are located in the West end of Vancouver close to the downtown business area (10 minutes by foot) and one block from the highly regarded Robson St shopping area. There is an incredible variety of restaurants in the immediate vicinity to satisfy all tastes and budgets. There is a large number of foreign students as Vancouver has become a favorite site for learning English. We are a 3 minute walk to the sea wall which has wide lanes for walking, running or cycling along the 20+ miles along the water encircling English Bay, False Creek, and Stanley Park. Magnificent Stanley Park with it's old growth forest, Totem poles, famous aquarium, and many gardens is a 10 minute walk from our door. Vancouver is considered to be one of the most beautiful and desirable cities in the Americas often winning top awards as the best or top 5 by many travel writers or international surveys. It was the site of the most recent highly successful Olympic winter games. Although a very modern and cosmopolitan city it is at the doorstep to some of the most beautiful coastal and mountainous areas in the Pacific Northwest. ![]() Something about ourselves

We are a retired couple in our mid to late 60's. We enjoy food and wine, sports, the theatre and the outdoors. Although we have travelled to many parts of the world in the past, more recently we spend most of time in Mexico during the winters and at our lake house in the interior of BC during the summer. This affords us a great deal of flexibility in arranging an exchange. ![]()
