This is our 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath Park Slope duplex. The duplex is modern and very light, and has deck, garden, basement w/ laundry, dishwasher, central heat, central air, and two (very sweet) cats. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed and the two other bedrooms each have a twin bed. Full bathroom on the upper floor next to the bedrooms; powder room on the main floor. The deck is off the kitchen and has a table, chairs, and grill and leads to the garden. Laundry in the basement. [This is the upper unit of a two unit house, but the lower unit does not share the basement, laundry, garden, or deck. Separate entries.]

Park Slope is a village in New York City. Bordering on lovely Prospect Park, it's full of shops, restaurants, and activities. Easy access to Manhattan--although you may not want to leave it! Something about ourselves

We are a family of four--two adults and two children (11 and 7). Our two (sweet and elderly) cats stay home when we travel. We work in academia and the non-profit world. We've had one (very successful) house swap experience and are looking forward to more. We are no longer looking for a home exchange for 2012, but would love to plan ahead for 2013, for February break (wk of Feb 18), spring break (wk of Mar 25), or during the summer.
