A 20 minute walk brings you to miles of sandy beach where you'll find many great restaurants and artisans selling their wares. The pool is stunning with a huge palapa area for entertaining and outdoor dining. There's lots to do and see in close proximity to our area. Casa Maya is located on the upper part of the Juluapan Peninsula and is about 20 minutes south of the Manzanillo Airport. Our closest small town is Santiago, an authentic Mexican pueblo with very little US influence, and is about a 15 minute drive from the house. There's a central market, lots of little hole in the wall local places to eat and a few little gift shops.
Something about ourselves
We have, just recently, become full timers in Manzanillo but have been doing home exchanges during the more humid months of August though October. This last summer and early fall we did 7, back to back, home exchanges in Iceland, Europe and Turkey and had an incredible time. We feel fortunate that we are in a position to do simultaneous as well as non-simultaneous exchanges and can even host you in our home if we are here. Bill is a retired college chemistry professor and I am still working as a mortgage banker but can do my work from here and, for that matter, anywhere, as long as I have internet. Hoping, however, to retire in the next year or two.
