I built this house between 1978 and 1981 with the help of my wife and my dad. It is stone and native lumber and sits on 36 acres of wooded land. There is a 1/2 acre pond with large mouth bass and the water is suitable for swimming. Accommodation and facilities

Ours is a very mixed neighborhood (typical to Foster, RI) with older homes as well as recently constructed log homes and newer mixed styles. There is also a small family owned firewood processor on our street as well as a backwoods pizza parlor on another beautiful pond within a mile of our home. Something about ourselves

My wife and I are both elementary teachers in Rhode Island public schools edging our way toward retirement and - hopefully - world travel. We are the parents of four wonderful children and grandparents to three. We have three crazy dogs who roam the property freely (when allowed) and a sixteen year old cat named Bonkers (who mostly lounges around the house all day). Obviously, taking care of a few animals would not be a problem. My oldest daughter is a veterinarian and lives five minutes away, so support is there if you need it.
