The house has a wrap around deck which affords a 360* view of the lush, tropical surroundings as well as the beach, surf and coral reef. We are on the six mile long island of Elbow Cay, which is part of the small chain of family islands that make up The Abacos. Elbow Cay is home to the most photographed, candy cane striped lighthouse in the world and has beautiful coral reef within swimming distance to shore. The settlement of Hope Town is about three miles from our cottage. "Conch Quest" is within walking distance of a fully equipped marina including a restaurant, bar, pool, boat rentals and dockage. Since we are on the beach, there is swimming, surfing and snorkeling in the backyard. The main type of transportation is a golf cart which can be easily reserved at one of the many cart rentals in advance of your stay. There are many restaurants which feature local fresh fish and many delightful fresh baked breads and desserts. There is some shopping and local artists who sell in town, as well as bicycles to rent and places to explore. ![]() Something about ourselves

We are Bill and Barbara. We have been married 20 years and are the parents of one college aged daughter, no longer living at home full time. We have not done a home for exchange yet however we are very excited to try. We hope this affords us the opportunity to go to places we would otherwise not have been able to explore. Having had a home in the Bahamas, we have spent most of our available vacation time there. Now we are hoping that others can enjoy what we have and maybe someone else can share their familiar vacation with us! I have been fortunate to take advantage of travelling with my best friend to Turkey and Paris when she exchanged her home. Both times were exciting and fun and a great experience on both sides. She is what inspired my to try this website as well! ![]()
