Description of our house

This is our own private retreat in a well known beauty spot in Sydney. We have a heated pool, home theatre, play area, cubby house, porches, decks, open fireplace etc. It is the perfect place to just stay at home and watch the boats go by as the light changes on the water, after or instead of sightseeing around Sydney. The house is very family oriented with large open plan living upstairs to make the most of the view. Downstairs has plenty of bedrooms and a second living room and kitchen. The 2 bathrooms and guest loo are very large. Almost every room opens onto a deck or the porch and has lovely views. The property is on a hill overlooking Pittwater on a private acre. We have a visiting Wallaby, as well as possums, bandicoots, colourful birds and other fauna. After a few attempts we have various fruit trees dotted around too.

Church Point is about 45 minutes drive from downtown Sydney. It's very quiet except for the colourful, singing birds and the odd watercraft. It is a very popular spot for cyclists. 180 metres in front of the house is Pittwater with a 4km path along the waterfront for daily walks. Don't forget to say Good morning or smile at everyone you pass! Along here you will find 3 marinas and 3 cafes plus tennis courts. The historic Church Point Post Office/Shop/Restaurant is about 800 metres from us and does a great meal or coffee, right over the water itself. From the cafe you will see a stream of residents from Scotland Island popping over to the mainland and back. Hop on the commuter ferry for a quick tour! The Northern Beaches are beautiful; great for sailing, surfing, bushwalking, golf etc. Please look closer at the map of Church Point and the Peninsula to see the unique geography of the area. One website to look at is http://www.sydney.visitorsbureau.com.au Otherwise just type Church Point Sydney into Google and see what comes up. Church Point is listed as one of the 100 things you must see in Sydney. The Northern Beaches is where wealthy Sydney-siders like to holiday. Home and Away is filmed on Palm Beach, 20 minutes drive from our home. There are some world class restaurants. My name is Emma and I am a 'single' mum with 3 children, aged 14,16 and 18. We have already lived in 6 countries but now that we are settled I would love to keep travelling with the kids before they leave home (if they ever do!). We are bound by NSW school holidays but will consider any holidays, anywhere and would love to hear from you!
