Description of our house

We have a beautiful house - light, modern with a personal tuch - situated on at the edge of the Gooi-lake where you can walk, lay in the sun, picknick and play volleyball on the beach. If you walk 3 minutes you can rent a boat for sailing and enjoy Holland from the water. It is a perfect place to surf. There is a lot of forest and heathy in the surroundig to walk and cycle. Public trafic is 3 minutes from our house. Restaurants are in the same street with a look over the water. It is a nice place to be!

We live in the centre of the Netherlands near the water. You can cycle to nice villages as Blaricum, Laren (Singermuseum), Eemnes and Naarden-Vesting (verry old). By car you are in 30 min. in Amsterdam (bus or train 45 min.), Utrecht, Muiderslot-castle or the Veluwe (national park). Huizen is a peaceful place with good restaurants, cinema, playpark for children, etc. etc. More information http://www.vvvhuizen.nl. Something about ourselves

We are a married couple and have no kids. Maarten is a glass artist (stained glass) and Angelique works for the Dutch media. We like culture, nature (walking and cycling), art and a good glass of wine. Don't hesitate to contact us if our house and area seems a nice place for you to stay. We have good memories of exchanges before in France, Swiss, Ireland. We are always open to go for a weekend. In autumn/spring/new year for 1 week and the summerhollidays about 2 weeks.
