Description of our house

We live in a re-decorated villa from 1930. It's furnished with a mix of Danish and Scandinavian design, comfortable and practical solutions when living with children. Our house is ideal for a big family with kids. However you do not have to have kids or use the kids toys. (lot's of Lego and Brio wooden trains). You can just enjoy the wonderful atmosphere of an old Danish villa. The house is very light and spacious with big windows and 3 m high sealings. 1 bedroom has a double bed and 4 bedrooms has a single bed. On the south side there is a big wooden terrace where you can enjoy the sun most of the day. We have a very nice big garden with a big lawn, lots of trees, swing, playhouse and a big trampolin.

The house is located 5 Km from the centre of Copenhagen. It is close to both busses and a train stations and the metro. It takes 10 minutes to reach the centre by public transportation. We live close to Tivoli, the Zoo and the bridge to Sweden. A 20 minute drive will bring you abroad. Things are dense in Copenhagen. In inner Copenhagen you do not go about in a car. You either walk, take a bike, a bus or the metro. Copenhagen is a vibrant city with many places to go sightseing, shopping and visiting great restaurants. Tivoli (the famous old amusementpark in the heart of the city). The little mermaid statue, touring of the canals by boat etc. The beach, Amager Beach is located 1,5 km from our house, and is a very family friendly place to go in the summer. There is quite a few shopping centres/malls in the Copenhagen area as well, Fields 2 km from our house is Scandinavia's biggest. Something about ourselves

We are Christina and Jesper, a married couple with three children, age 16, 14 and 8. Jesper is a police officer and Christina is a key account manager in a travel insurence company. We enjoy travelling when able to get away. We have done one home exchange in the summer of 2009 and one in 2011, and it was a great expirence.we are keen to do it again, we think its a great way to see another country as a resident - and allow someone to see ours.
