Description of our house

We love our home which is designed for its location in tropical rain forest with high ceilings and polished floors throughout and lots of windows. There is modern kitchen at one end of the open plan dining and lounge rooms. The lounge/dining room opens onto a large outdoor living which is part of a private courtyard on one side and onto a large balcony overlooking rainforest on the other. At one end of the house we have the main bedroom with ensuite (including spa and separate toilet). At this end of the house there is also a large office area with 2 separate workstations (both connected to Broadband), a television and 2 lounges one of which is a double sofa bed. The other end of the house has two double bed rooms, bathroom (with shower and bath), separate toilet and a sitting room. A double Garage is attached to the house and there is reverse cycle airconditioning throughout.

We are located on the beautiful Sunshine Coast and hour north of Brisbane International Airport. It is a 10 minute drive to the beaches of Mooloolabah and 45 minutes to Noosa. There is local shopping in the village atmosphere of Buderim and other shopping centres 5 minutes away. The local airport has connections to Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. The house is on an acre, in a quiet residential area of tropical rainforest. We are Roslyn (60) and Russell (66), a married couple with a grown up family of 3. Russell is a retired engineer/teacher and Roslyn is a physiotherapist working part time. We have had 2 great exchanges in Europe (one in Holland and one in England) in the last 2 years to complement our visits to 2 of our children who have been living/working in Europe. We are now interested in seeing more of Australia.
