Description of our house
[
![]() ]
Our one-level home is situated on quiet cul-de-sac. It has everything you need to make your stay here comfortable, including new or nearly new appliances and furniture. It is country-living at its best, very quiet, and within walking distance of downtown Atascadero. There is a large patio/deck out front which is a nice place to watch the world go by or count the neighborhood deer grazing. We have wood and/or tile floors, except for the three bedrooms which are newly carpeted. This home is very clean and comfortable, easy to live in, not requiring much effort. Car optional.

We live in a comfortable home on a quiet cul-de-sac, and it includes everything needed for an enjoyable stay. Atascadero is in the Central Coast of California, half-way between Los Angeles and San Francisco, four hours' drive each way, and a two-hour drive to Santa Barbara to the south. We are 15 minutes from the Pacific Ocean (Morro Bay) to the west where there is fishing, swimming, surfing, etc. Atascadero is in the middle of a large wine area (approximately 80 wineries and tasting rooms) which extends from Santa Barbara to Napa/Sonoma.There are seven golf courses within a 30 mile drive of our home. ![]() Something about ourselves

We are both recently retired from the local school districts, however, Doug is still teaching part-time. Kathy does volunteer work with the American Red Cross as a disaster relief specialist. We are outdoor enthusiasts: golfing, walking/hiking, as well as avid readers. We have done a lot of traveling but would like to spend more quality time in one locatio... all the more reason to do a home exchange. We keep a very tidy home and would treat yours as well. We are respectful of other's privacy and property. ![]()
