Very sunny and cozy, duplex family apartment with a big roof terrace. This is our first home, which we have completely renovated recently in a colorful style and love it a lot. It is composed of a nice living-dining room-kitchen, a children's room, a bathroom with bath and a toilette, a small dressing-room, a separate toilette, on the 2nd floor we have a small bedroom and a huge (30m2) roofterrace. The apartment has all equipments: air conditioning, dishwasher, washing machine-dryer + cable TV with 130 channels, DVD player, laptop with internet. Of course we have a lot of toys + books/DVDs for children and adults (also in EN, FR), and a lot of good novels for adults in English. The apartment overlooks to an internal garden, so it is very silent, the roof terrace has nice view to the neighbouring roofs + a bit of the Buda hills. In case of longer term exchanges: we have a cleaning lady coming once a week.

This district, called "Ujlipotvaros" is situated on the Pest side half-way between Buda and Pest, so you can easily reach Pest downtown (even by foot) or the historical centre of Buda. It has excellent transportation, even during the night. It is a very nice area resided by many Hungarian intellectuals, artists and young families with a lot of little shops and cafeteria, many playgrounds and with the Danube bank and a big park just a few blocks away.Budapest has a lot to offer throughout the year both for children and for adults. During the summer months a lot of small open air festivals are on-going and in the beginning of August, the biggest central European music-art festival, SZIGET is taking place in Budapest. In the traditional bathes (all with thermal water), you can cool yourselves down during the summer months or relax in the hot water with chess-playing folks during the winter. There are also special bathes called "strand" with big grassy areas and many swimming pools - open from1st May until the weather is nice. There are a lot of hip, open-air pubs- venues change from year to year. Spring and autumn festival hosts world-famous performers but tickets have to be booked well in advance. Budapest is also fun with children - there is always something on-going in the city that is especially organised for them, especially in the summer. During the winter our favourite places are the indoor play houses and a special museum for children on technical innovations. Something about ourselves
