A newly renovated, huge (400sqm) house in a beautiful small town, at the shoreline of the Danube, just 30km away from Budapest center. We also have a small newly renovated studio in Budapest downtown. Both properties are available for exchange.
The first can accommodate up to 10 people, whilst the second one is suitable for a couple. The second one is absolute flexible and available for non-simultaneous exchange, the first (in Vác) is available during summer. Both properties are equipped with everything wich is required for a family life including - child safety - except TV (broadcast). The house in Vac is located at the shoreline of the Danube, yet in the middle of the city. Main square, city market, just hundred meters behind/away from us. Public transport to Budapest is excellent, takes 25 minutes from Vac to Budapest downtown. Return ticket cost 4 Euro/adult, under 6 is free.
From Vac, to downtown of Budapest by car takes around 40 minutes. Car is slower in the city (and half of the way must be driven in Budapest)
The city of Vac due to its location and architectural beauties is prepared for tourists. We love to live here, although my job ties me to Budapest. I am a 49 year-old widowed university professor of construction management with 5 children (Sophie 23 studying fine art (painting), Tamara 21 (will be psychologist), Flora 13, Kamilla 10, and Ambrus the first boy who is 5). We have travelled a lot since the time our first daughter was born, lived abroad for longer period, explored new cultures, and enjoyed everything what the situation of being away from home could give us. (And we were happy to arrive to home as well) We discovered this site three years ago, unfortunately by the time the first exchange has been realized,I was alone...
So far we had two successful exchanges.
What we can offer is our homes in Vác and in Budapest. Both cities are attractive, and to get from Vác to Budapest downtown is sometimes easier from here than from some other parts of Budapest.
Budapest is a very attractive, exciting city, we have a list of what-is-worth to see, eat, do etc. long enough for even two or three month, including museums, nature (caves, rowing), bathes and spas, restaurants, etc. I am a 49 year-old widowed university professor of construction management with 5 children (Sophie 23 studying fine art (painting), Tamara 21 (will be psychologist), Flora 13, Kamilla 10, and Ambrus the first boy who is 5).
