The house is located in the small village of Kokkino Horio on the north coast of the Greek island of Crete some 15 miles (25 km) east of Chania. It is an old village house from 1870 that was completely renovated and extended in 2008. There is a main house and an independent studio on a 750 m2 plot of land. Both houses are built in the traditional style from stone with walls 40 cm thick. They are finished in white with blue shutters.

The main house is a two-story house of 125 m2. On the ground floor there is an open plan kitchen dining area with stove, fridge, freezer, dish washer and micro wave oven, a living room with a sleeping couch, TV/SAT/DVD, and a wood burning stove and a bathroom.
The upstairs has two double bedrooms, a bathroom with laundry machine and dryer and two balconies. From one balcony there is access to the roof. From the balconies and the roof there are brilliant views of the Bay of Souda, the village and the mountains.

The studio is 25 m2. It has a double bedroom, a bathroom and a kitchenette with a stove and fridge.
