Our home is between 200 and 300 years old with the original 'fachwerk' visible in the walls. We have spent almost 3 years renovating the house by ourselves, therefore all the rooms are not perfectly revamped yet. The garden is large, however also at a beginning phase. Parking for a car on the premises and barbeque is fine. We have a wooden play house with slide for children and a cage with rabbits, otherwise no animals in or around the house. The house has 5 available bedrooms, 2 kitchens, one bathroom and 2 wc's.
We have tried to maintain the original structure and antiquity of this old house. If you like a cosy, country house atmosphere, you will hopefully enjoy sharing the passion and hard work we have done to our home. Our home is situated in Legefeld, which is next to a forest which has wonderful walking and cycling routes (Ilm cycle route is about 90km long. It is one the most scenic cycle routes in Central Europe). The forest is 5 minutes walk from our home. The historical city of Weimar is reachable by city and regional bus and bicycle, being only 10 minutes drive by car. 2 Bus stops are basically in front of our house and a general shop is 3 minutes walk. The inner city of Weimar is a world heritage site and has also hosted people such as Martin Luther, Hans Christian Anderson.
