Our apartment, with wintergarden, piano, stucco, cherrywood parquet flooring, garden, garage and bikes is situated just 100 yards from the river Rhine in the "Villas Quarter" of Bonn-Bad Godesberg, house and street being architectually qualified, the house built in 1899 and renovated recently. The street is absolutely quiet, the garden is a little jewel. Big, modern kitchen, dining and living room, master bedroom and a second bedroom towards the garden. The pictures should convince you!

Our neighborhoodIt is just 100 yards to the next subway station and the pedestrian area. Thus, everything is within walking distance - shops, drugstores, markets, cinemas. Bonn, birthplace of Ludwig van Beethoven, is full of culture - his birthhouse, theatre, concert hall, museums etc. Easily reachable via Bonn-Cologne Airport, just 16 miles away, with cheap airlines flying to all destinations in Europe - www.germanwings.com and www.tuifly.com. From here you can start boattrips up and down the Rhine, to Cologne or to the Loreley Rock near Koblenz, from there up the Moselle. You will love it!

Something about ourselvesWe are an "elderly" couple, my wife still working for the United Nations here in Bonn, myself having just retired from the Press and Information Office of the German Government. We have lived and worked in Ireland, France, Belgium, Germany and India - and have travelled half the world. Now we would like to exchange for a quieter way of life - and in addition would love to get into contact with other people, who obviously also have a sense for new places and new acquaintances.
