We are about 30 minutes from the Cologne Bonn airport, and 2 kilometers from 3 supermarkets and two picturesque towns with everything you need. Cologne is 20 km away, a 20 minute drive, or half an hour with the train that runs every half hour directly to the center of Cologne where you can start your journey through its fascinating history starting with the Romans. (You can still see Roman ruins in many archeologically protected places as well as just part of the cityscape.) The Cathedral in Cologne is famous worldwide. If you like boats or trains, see the castles on a trip down the Rhine! There are several golf courses nearby as well as local fish ponds, herons, bullfinches, woodpeckers and many other birds. ![]() Something about ourselves

I am originally from Canada, but have traveled extensively, lived in Italy, Switzerland and India and now I'm in Germany. I have a degree in music and my husband (born not far from Cologne, Germany) has a degree in Physics. He is now working as a Computer Information Technologist in Cologne. I play concerts, teach music and record CDs. We would like to go to Scandinavia, or anywhere in Europe actually. As I have family and friends in Alberta, Canada, that is interesting to us as well as the west coast of North America. We are more interested in nature than big cities generally. We have already done several house exchanges so we are experienced in taking good care of other people's homes. ![]()
