This is a brand new ground-floor flat in a new area (old airport site) that has been lovingly and ecologically intelligently developed. You are just minutes away from a huge, attractively landscaped park area with a large lake that is designed for bathing in the summer months. If you are travelling with kids there are countless wonderful play areas in the immediate vicinity and all roads are access only with no fast (or audible) traffic. I have a private garden with furniture and a gas BBQ. The apt. has two double bedrooms. The downstairs bedroom offers generous sleeping accommodation (double or twin as required. please specify - (also plenty of room to add very comfortable single or double airbed) with large flat-screen TV and fully equipped en-suite with walk-in shower. The modest-sized living room is open-plan with a modern kitchen with granite worktop, griddle/hob, microwave and steam oven, both combined with conventional ovens. The sofa makes an extremely comfortable double bed if further sleeping space is required.
The office multi-functions as a dining room offering adequate seating for 6 persons (not seen on photo, but I would prepare it as dining room prior to visit if numbers require, eating space for 3/4 at kitchen island but bit of a squeeze :)

The location of the flat couldn't be better, whether you are looking to explore Munich or go further afield. I am a 5 minute walk from the U-Bahn (underground/subway - runs ever 5/10 mins, depending on time of day), the U2 will take you to the city centre in just 20 minutes. I am also a 10 minute walk from a very large shopping mall. A bakery just 2 minutes away ensures you have fresh bread/rolls for breakfast 7 days a week :). Furthermore I am under a km away from the A99, giving you ultra fast access to motorways in all directions if you are driving/hiring a car, so this is also an excellent base for day trips – underground private parking also available – use of my car may also be possible (I have a new Toyota Prius automatic)

I am Jane, 55, freelance translator, daughter Jessica, 20, at university. Originally from London, I lost my heart to Munich many years ago! I moved here for the first time in '78 and back to London in '94. However, after years of back and forth and never quite able to free myself of this lovely city, I finally returned to live here and bought this flat last year!
I have been a freelance translator now for some 20 years. The exchange will be for me and my family (daughter, brother, cousin) and we wd be a party of 2-4 persons, depending on who has time - as a freelancer, I tend to be the most flexible :).
I have a small dog and the apartment is fitted with a dog flap, so pets are also welcome. My dog is very well trained and obedient - but I have people who would look after the dog if you would prefer not to permit pets.
I am looking forward to using this site as an opportunity to get to know other cities. I would also be open to the idea of long weekends in a "city break" exchange (Thurs-Sun, or similar).
