On FIRST FLOOR there are a spacious living-room with adjoining dining-room and kitchen, balcony, bathroom (shower, bathtube, toilet), toilet and two children´s rooms.
On GROUND FLOOR (hillside, downstairs) there are a boiler-room (washer, dryer) and a granny flat. Its former kitchen is used as Heri`s bureau. Further a third children`s room, a little bathroom (shower, toilet) and the main bedroom with acess to terrace (seating, barbecue).
The GARDEN is divided into two parts:
a frontgarden (sand pit, little kitchen garden, organically grown vegetables, plenty of berries, herbs) Further a garden downhill (terrace, willow play-hut, barell for open fire and -of course- more berries ;-)
For parking we have a garage (50 metres away) and 2 parking spaces in front of house.
We have bought our house just in 2008, so it is not renovated perfectely in every part until now; for example doors, windows and kitchen are partially old.
The attic floor is actually getting converted to further living space, so it can not be used. On FIRST FLOOR there are a spacious living-room with adjoining dining-room and kitchen, balcony, bathroom (shower, bathtube, toilet), toilet and two children´s rooms.

We live in the very calm suburb "OBERDÜRRBACH", but close to the city centre of Würzburg. Around our home there are no hotels or bungalows, so that you live directely between the usual residents. In easy reach by feet you find a little supermarket with bakery, a post- and flowers-shop and a cafe with adjoining Biergarten in summer. A small forest is only 150 metres away from our home and in summer you can reach an open-air bath within a few minutes!
WÜRZBURG is a big bavarian city with about 133.000 residents.
It´s located at the river Main in a valley between picturesque vineyards, in the heart of the region Mainfranken, an important vine-growing area in Germany, where the climate is quite warm and dry.
The city offers you a fascinating mixture of tradition, cultural sights and events and modern student´s live.
A special trip for children could be to "Playmobil Funpark" (Nürnberg-Fürth, 100 km) or to "Legoland Deutschland" (Günzburg, 190 km). We are a married couple in our early thirties with 3 children (born 2000, 2007 and 2010). Both of us are social workers for family care.
Heri is very keen on everything about computers and technical equipment, reading and networking/ fundraising for his employer and other facilities, f.e. the local kindergarden.
I love different kinds of handicrafts, such as gardening, sewing, renovating our house, baking cakes or just creating my environment. Together we have some friends for "pen-and-paper role-playing games" and geocaching, what we really like.
Our children are very active and interested ones, who love to explore the nature and their surroundings. Their favorite interests are all kinds of animals and dinosaurs, sports -especially swimming-, books, tasting local sweets and specialities when being abroad, they really love good food ;-)
We would like to see a lot of the world, so home exchange seems to be a very good possibility to visit foreign countries and learn about the "real live" there.
We have a nice cat, very used even to small children and easy to handle. She only needs some dry food and water daily.
Of course we would gladly take care of your pets if you have some.
We are mainly looking for an exchange in the summer holidays in August 2013, when we can go for durations from 1 up to 4 weeks. In summer we preffer destinations with not too hot climate and love to visit the sea! But please feel welcome to try us with other suggestions, we will answer every mails!
