On FIRST FLOOR there are a spacious living-room with dining-area and play-area, a cosy lounge to relax, kitchen, balcony, bathroom (shower, bathtube, toilet), extra toilet and two kidsrooms (1 with junior bed (70*160) and changing unit, 1 with single bunk bed). The daybeds in livingroom and lounge could be used as additional sleeping and we have a portacrib (60*120) and an air mattress in reserve, too.

On GROUND FLOOR (hillside, downstairs) there are a boiler-room (washer, dryer) and a granny flat. Its former kitchen is used as Heri`s bureau. Further there are a third kidsroom (single bed and portable guest bed), a small bathroom (shower, toilet) and a double bedroom (160*200) with acess to terrace (seating, barbecue).

The GARDEN is small and divided into two parts:
a frontgarden (sand pit, little kitchen garden with organically grown vegetables, plenty of berries, herbs) and a garden downhill (terrace, willow play-hut, barell for open fire and -of course- more berries ;-)

For PARKING we have a garage (30 metres away) and 2 parking spaces in front of house.

We don´t have a TV, but it is possible to watch some channels by computer.

We have bought our house in 2008 and renovate it step by step since then; actually the attic floor is getting converted to further living space, so it can not be used until this is done.

We live in the calm suburb "OBERDUERRBACH", but very close to the city centre of Wuerzburg (about 5 km, public bus available). Around our home there are no hotels or bungalows, so that you live directely between the usual residents. In easy reach by feet you find a little supermarket with bakery, a post- and flowers-shop and a cafe with adjoining Biergarten in summer. A small forest is only 100 metres away from our home and in summer you can reach an open-air bath within a few minutes!

WUERZBURG is a big bavarian city with about 133.000 residents.
It´s located at the river Main in a valley between picturesque vineyards, in the heart of the region Mainfranken, an important vine-growing area in Germany.
The city offers you a fascinating mixture of tradition, cultural sights and events and modern student´s live.
Many cultural events around the year, nightlife, all kinds of shopping, museums, theatres, a wonderfull fortress, the Residenz of Wuerzburg, bars, cafes, open-air festivals, sports, parks with meadows and playgrounds, ship-tours on Main and many more you could explore.
The district Bavaria is rich in old castles, medieval cities and ancient ruins, that are very attractive for people who like history and arts.

A special trip for children is to "PLAYMOBIL FUNPARK" (Nuernberg-Fuerth, 100 km) or to "LEGOLAND GERMANY" (Guenzburg, 190 km).

In 1 hour by car you can also reach a small SKIING AREA at hill "Wasserkuppe" in the nature conservation area "Rhoen"; very impressive nature, less crowded, but I guess more interesting for beginners and kids than for advanced skiers:

We are a married couple in our thirties with 3 kids (2000, 2007 and 2010), both of us are social workers for family welfare.
Heri works in a childcare facility (see homepage) and he is very keen on everything about computers and technical equipment, reading and networking/ fundraising.
Sabine works for a gardening and landscaping company and loves different kinds of handicrafts (gardening, sewing, renovating,...) and sports, martial arts. Together we play some "pen-and-paper role-playing games" and geocaching, what we really like.
Our kids are very active and interested ones, who love to explore nature and their surroundings. Their favorite interests are all kinds of animals and dinosaurs, sports -especially swimming-, books, comics, computers, tasting local sweets and specialities when being abroad, they really love good food ;-)
We would like to explore some foreign countries, so home exchange seems to be a very good possibility to experience a bit of the "real live" there.

We have a nice cat, very used even to young children and easy to handle, who should stay with you. She only needs some dry food and water daily.
Of course we gladly take care of your pets if you have some.
