Sachsenkam is a small, quiet village in the most attractive part of Bavaria near Bad Tölz upon Isar with its touristic, picturesque market street. The beautiful landscape invites to make long walks or bicycle tours over the hills, along rivers or lakesides. You can make tours in the Alps as well, Lenggries a rather famous winter sport resort is 30 min from us. Possible are lots of different trips by foot or mountain-bike not far away. Water sport is possible as well, for there are lots of lakes , the nearest lake is the Kirchsee only 2 km away, and the Tegernsee (30 min), the Starnberger See, Kochelsee, Walchensee (less than 1 h) and the famous Chiemsee (1h). There you can visit two beautiful small islands, one with a cloister and the other with a castle. The world famous castles Neuschwanstein, Hohenschwangau and Linderhof are 1,5 h from us. It`s easy to reach Munich by car and train (1h). Nice Austrian cities like Salzburg or Innsbruck (both 1,5 h) are not far as well. You see, it`s worth coming to Sachsenkam!

We, Kristin and Bernd, are a married couple in the late fourties with three boys (8, 10, 11 years old). Kristin is a primary school-teacher and Bernd works in the marketing department of the Munich City Works. In our rare free time we like to spend time in the nature by hiking, riding the bikes or swimming. Our boys are enthusiastic fishermen or they are playing for hours at a river, they are reading, playing football or constructing Lego-buildings. All five love travelling. It`s our first try to make a house swap. We think, it`s an interesting opportunity to take part at the daily life in a foreign country and to visit an unknown country. Of course we will take care for your home, like you will surely do with ours.
