Description of our house

Our home is an old farm dating from 1850, almost entirely renovated, very charming and comfortable (floors, beams, freestone fireplace)in a small village in east of France: 4 bedrooms (1 with a king-size bed, 1 with a queen-size one, 2 with single bed and one additional) and 2 bathrooms, parlour with piano, sitting room with stone wall and beams. Kitchen and dining room have access on terrace and garden with fruit-trees (apples, apricots, peaches) and games for children outside (swings, trampoline 4m30, you can pitch a special tent on it). In front of our house, a meadow with a she-ass and sheeps (they belong to our neighbour). Bicycles are available.

Our home is ideally located in east part of France, between Bourgogne, Alsace and Champagne (wines !), in a preserved area where green holidays are a reality, between forest, lakes and mountains (ski in the Vosges mountains, several ski-resorts : La Bresse, Gerardmer, Ventron... 1 or 1 and half hour driving). Very good cultural interest: famous "Images d'Epinal", crystal of Baccarat, place Stan' in Nancy (capital of "Art nouveau"), Mirecourt (famous town of violin-makers),native house of Joane of Arc in Domrémy, and so on ... At 12 minutes driving, VITTEL, well-known spa with golf course, horse-riding, casino, olympic swimming-pool...everything you could enjoy for interesting and relaxing holidays. We are 2 parents with 2 daughters (15 and almost 13, they love music, cooking and horses) and an independant cat very pretty (9 years old, called Prunelle). My husband is a teacher and an apiarist/bee-keeper (don't worry, bees are not in the garden but in another place ! If you want to discover local honeys, it is time to do it) and I am a speech therapist. We love to travel all over the world, meet nice people, discover new cultures ; we have already done 15 swaps (4 in France (Paris X 3 and Marseille), 1 in Canada (Montréal and Estrie), 1 in Italy (Toscanne/Maremma), 1 in Jersey Island (Channel Islands), 1 in Netherlands, 1 in Denmark, 2 in NEW YORK(and Woodstock), 1 on a beautiful houseboat in Amsterdam, 1 in London, 1 on the wonderful Oleron island (France)and the last one in Chambery (Alps)... all wonderful experiences and beautiful meetings ! Before beeing parents, we were used to travel (Marocco, Senegal, Benin, India, Canada, Greece, England, Açores, Madère...). Our daughters seem to love that too ! They are well behaved and we can assure you that we'll treat your house on the best way as possible, and really hope the same with our house.
