Description of our house
La Jassine is a private, fully furnished, 3 bedroom villa with outstanding views of the Luberon mountains and spectacular sunsets. La Jassine offers Provencal country living at it's finest. Savour the tranquility of Provence in the teak lounges around the deck of the swimming pool, enjoy a game of tennis on the full size tennis court, or simply relax in the hammock streched between between the oak trees. There is a field of cherry trees in front of La Jassine and an orchard of 30 fruit and olive trees on the property. The Provencal style kitchen features rustic oak cabinets, a terra cotta countertop, and a typical beamed ceiling. From the large kitchen window, there is a spectacular view of the Luberon mountains. The kitchen if fully equipped for aspiring chefs. The focal point of the open concept/dining area is a typical Provencal fireplace with a high efficiency wood insert. French doors lead directly out onto the terrace. The is a HD TV with satelitte receiver and a multitude of international channels, as well as a DVD and VCR.

La Jassine is situated in the Luberon Regional Nature Park and close to a multitude of small, pictureque villages, as well as famous, major cities and popular tourist sites. The villa is located n one of the richest and most vibrant parts of Provence. In addition to it's natural beauty, it is a flourisjhing cultural region that offers a wide range of sightseeing activites and festivals. Lourmarin has the official distinction of being "one of the most beautiful villages in France". It has a 15th century castle, an 11th century church and 14 restaurants. This is Peter Mayle country and much of "Year in Provence" was filmed nearby. "Jean de Florette" and "Manon des Sources" were also filmed nearby.
Something about ourselves
We are a semi-retired professional couple that love to travel. Sandra is a university professor and Paul has enjoyed a successful career in sales and marketing. We have 2 rental properties, one in Provence and the other in Muskoka, Canada.
