Perched on the side of a hill between the sea and the mountains, and set in picturesque Provençal countryside, Fayence is rated highly by tourists. It has a southerly climate, charming old streets, warm and welcoming inns emitting the aromas of Provence, and even some relics of times past. There is many restaurants specialised in local food and an open-air market 2 times a week stalls'lavender honey, candied fruits, perfumed lemon soaps and vegetables from local farms ; bakery and other shops are about 5 minutes walking; we are near of the St Cassien lake where you can swim, fish or having many water activities ; you can also go to sandy beaches in Mandelieu, Cannes or Saint Raphael (about 30 min by car); there is a golf and a spa near of the village (for more informations about the spa : "http://www.maisons-de-biarritz.com You could discover the fabulous coast road from st raphael to Agay and his ochre-rich earth or the plunging prehistoric "Gorges du Verdon". There is a lot of terracotta-roofed villages at a few distance of Fayence, where you could watch a metal boules clunking on dirt petanque pitches, and drink a pastis glass on outdoor cafe terrace ! For example the village of Seillans (about 4 kms) has been classified as "One of the most beautiful villages in France". If you like big cities and shopping, you could go to Monaco or Nice. ![]() Something about ourselves

I'm 41 years old and my little boy will be 9 years old this summer; I'm working for the French motorway as Manager of the Call Center. My husband have 2 children, 15 et 11 years old. He's teaching landscaping in a professional college. He loves trees and gardens, he could take care of your plants ! Our little pet, called Samba, is very quiet and well educated. We'd like travelling in other countries all around Europe and have aldready make 3 successful exchanges in Ireland, Italy and Portugal. I like the concept of exchange to discover the real life of people. ![]()
