Description of our house

Actually two adjoining houses converted into one, our property offers a completely renovated modern interior, whilst still retaining the charm of some old exposed beams and stonework. The bottom level comprises garages, utility and laundry areas, with stone stairs leading up to the main floor. Here there is an expansive open-plan living, dining and kitchen area, leading up to the main bedroom, bathroom, office area, and sitting room. The living area opens onto a spacious covered terrace with double barbecue and courtyard. Another flight of stairs goes up to the top floor where there is a landing leading to 2 more bedrooms, and another bathroom.

St Gengoux is a wonderful old mediaeval village with a 12th century church originally affilliated to the former 10th century abbey (now ruins) in nearby Cluny. There are two bistro-style restaurant/bars in the village and several shops, including bakers, butcher and general store, plus a large supermarket on the outskirts, and an extensive cave (wine warehouse). ![]() Something about ourselves

I am Stella and my husband is Robert. We recently retired and purchased our house in Burgundy in 2010. We are lucky enough to live in Sydney Australia for their summer and six months in France for theirs. We enjoy walking and cycling, and tennis. ![]()
