Our apartment is not very big but it is well configured and very nice to live in. A notable feature is the large balcony (20 m2) which overlooks the beautiful countryside. It is on the 2nd floor (the top floor, without lift) of a small basque style building. It's centrally located for visiting and taking advantage of the region. There are two bedrooms and also a double bed on a mezzanine floor. We have a fully fitted kitchen.

Notre appartement n'est pas très grand mais il est bien agencé et très agréable à vivre. Nous apprécions tout particulièrement la grande terrasse de 20 m2 qui domine la campagne. Il est situé au 2ème et dernier étage (sans ascenseur) d'une petite résidence de style basque. Il comprend deux chambres et une mezzanine (où peuvent dormir 2 personnes), une cuisine équipée et une très jolie salle de bains (avec douche et baignoire). Within walking distance is the beach and the golf course (9 holes and club house) or the equestrian centre. The towns of Biarritz, Bayonne, Saint Jean de Luz, are less than 10 minutes by car. In less than half an hour, one can find oneself in San Sebastian, a magnificent, yet down to earth Spanish town, or in some of the charming Basque villages in the foot hills of the Pyrénées mountains or in the Landaise forest (the biggest in Europe). A little further afield are the renowned cities of Bordeaux and Bilbao (with the famous Guggenheim museum), both less than 2 hours drive. Bidart is a traditional basque village just south of Biarritz, well situated for access to the "autoroute", Biarritz airport and train station.

We are a family of 6 (although only 4 travel, the 2 oldest are away from home). Michel, 51, Director of a retirement home, Corinne, 45, French teacher. Our children: - Marine, 23, is working in Paris- Solene, 21, is at the University, studying to become an Engineer - Manon, 18, is studying in Bordeaux, at "Sciences Po", Raphaelle, 16, is at High school. We have exchanged home a lot of times in the last years with Canadian, Italian, English, Swedish, German, French, American, Spanish families... Each time proved to be a wonderful experience and we look forward to more of these rewarding travels. You can contact us and we'll be delighted to respond.

Nous avons 4 enfants : Marine (25 ans) travaille à Paris, Solène (23 ans) finit ses études d'ingénieur, Manon (20 ans) est à Sciences Po Bordeaux, Raphaëlle (18 ans) fait des études à Séville en économie. Nous avons déjà fait de nombreux échanges ces dernières années avec des familles canadiennes, italienne, anglaise, suédoise, suisse, allemande, françaises, américaine, espagnole. Chaque fois cela a été une expérience très enrichissante et nous espérons faire d'autres voyages. N'hésitez pas à nous contacter et nous serons heureux de vous répondre.
