The apartment is located in the center of Paris, in the heart of the picturesque Bastille district, at 50 meters from Bastille square and its opera. The graceful Place des Vosges in the Marais district is only at 5 minutes walking distance. Bastille is a trendy area inhabited by lots of artists and craftsmen, with small shops, many typical parisian cafes and restaurants, with charming passages, paved courtyards and ateliers to discover. It is also a famous night life district with many cafes-concert, bars and clubs, movie theatres and the Opera. The apartment is close to several supermarkets, grocerys, drugstores and an excellent bakery just across the street. The marche de la Bastille, on boulevard Richard Lenoir, is one of the most animated and colourful outdoor food market of Paris where you will find a wide variety of fresh fish, meat, fruits and vegetables at affordable prices. Bastille is a district very well served by public transportations: from the Place de la Bastille, several subway or bus lines will give you a quick and easy access to the Seine river, the Louvre Museum, Saint Germain des Prés and the Latin Quarter, the Champs-Elysées and many more parisian monuments and sights. If you want to take a walk, jog or picnic in a garden, you can reach by bus in a few minutes the Vincennes park, Bercy gardens, Tuileries or Jardin des Plantes. You can also hire a bike for a cheap price at the Vélib service point on the Bastille square.

My girlfriend (Florence, 34 years old) is a cultural mediator in a museum and I (Massimo, 41 years old) am an italian double bass player living in Paris for three years. We decided last year for the first time to exchange our home with two apartments in Madrid and London during one week and another one in New York during one month, three beautiful experiences for us and, we hope, the first of many other trips!!!
