Description of our house

A very sunny and quiet loft with high ceilings in Montparnasse. The main room has an open kitchen, a dining room corner, a living room corner and an access to a small terrace where it is possible to eat. The small terrace is sunny from around 11 to the evening. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed, its own little terrace and an en-suite bathroom. It is on the backyard side, so it is very silent. Anyway, we live in a quiet street. The second bedroom has a single bed and its own little bathroom. It is on a mezzanine and you access it from the office room (where you have internet access, my computer that you can use freely and piano). Our flat is the top flat of a small building, full of very nice people. Our entrance door is on the third floor and an inner staircase leads to the living room. There is no lift but the supermarket, 100m away, makes free delivery if you wish. Free phone calls (except mobile phones) to many destinations in Europe and all around the world. The flat is convenient for 3 persons, a mattress can be eventualy added on the floor in the office for a small kid.

We are in one of the most lively places of Paris with many restaurants, movie theaters, shopping around. You have at least three delicious bakeries around where you can buy your morning croissants. We are at walking distance to places like Saint Germain, the Luxembourg garden, les Invalides, the Eiffel tower but you can also start your trip by climbing on top of Montparnasse tower (300 m away). And, if you don't like walking, we have all around the most convenient subway stations and bus stops. On specific days of the week, you can either walk to the Edgar Quinet marketplace, or to the one on avenue de Saxe, or to the organic one on bd Raspail to buy fresh vegetable. We'll leave you a list of our favorite places around. As you are also at five minutes walk from Montparnasse railway station, you can consider a day trip to Tours or Angers (1h30) and of course to Versailles (15mn by train). You have also now the convenient Paris Velib' system which enables you to borrow bicycles all over Paris and visit Paris in a different way. Something about ourselves

We are a couple (non smokers) in our fifies and shall be traveling with our daughter, 15. Daniel works as a company manager and I work as a freelance translator. We have traveled a lot around the world and our daughter is a real accomplished traveler, too. We also have a dog-like cat but unless you want it he won't be here as he has his own second home when we are not in. We love our city and we'll be delighted to help you in the organization of your stay. Spoken languages: French, English, Brazilian, Spanish, Chinese and Japanese.
