We live in a spacious old house which was built in the eighteenth century. Our house is entirely modernised inside and combines modern facilities so it is an extremely comfortable and large family home. It overlooks a pond with a garden in front (pleasant and hot in summer) and a shady garden at the back (trees, benches, tables in both gardens. On the ground floor: a kitchen very professionnal, a large bright dining room with a fireplace and a spare room for computer, piano, music and books.. On the first floor 3 double bedrooms, one single bedroom, 2 bathrooms and 1 shower room with toilets. All the rooms have their own character and a view over the pond. Upstairs leads to an extra large room for kids (toys, games and books). Also 1 canoe for 4 and 5 bicycles and an infrared sauna for 4. Our house will surprise you !

Our house is on the hedge of a small town Saint-Lo (1 km from centre) in a beautiful and quiet area called Commune Libre du Hutrel. It is an association of inhabitants (like Montmartre in Paris) who cares for the beauty and maintenance of this green and pretty area. Ducks will follow your every move hoping to be fed ! LE MONT SAINT MICHEL 45 minutes by car. BAYEUX Tapestry 30 minutes CAEN big war museum (45 mns) Landing beaches.. HONFLEUR, RENNES medieval tow ... All the North coast of Cotentin (La Manche) deserves a visit (small harbour, typical villages. Paris: 3 hours drive. English islands (Jersey, Guernesey, Sark : 1 hour. There is a lot more to visit (gardens, house of Christian Dior in Granville, house of Prevert near Cherbourg)we have lots of books( French and English) and guides about Normandy, Brittany Something about ourselves

Serge works as a furniture designer, his workshop is in our back garden. All furniture in the house is Serge's, he does architecture too (part-time). Catherine works as a manager of a centre for asylum seekers NGO. We are a family of 5 but we will be 2 to travel. We have a nice cat - very sweet - You don't have to look after the cat if you dont want to. We are experienced exchangers : Italy, Spain, Ireland, Quebec, Sweden, Island ,Norway Netherland..
