Description of our house

Our home is in a rural area and yet only 3 kms away from the town of Pontchateau (10.000). Our house is an old construction, built in traditional style and is set back in a woodland garden. The front of the house (north side) faces a very little village and the back side (south and sunny side) looks onto our garden 4000 sqm with a 120sqm wood deck and the heated swimming pool backed by green country.(Secured Pool for kids by electric curtain) Downstairs we have a big kitchen well equipped and a large living room with tv video music center and a piano. It has central heating and a wood burning stove in the living room which makes it very cozy in winter. The garden is full of mature oaks and other trees. Upstairs, the four bedrooms have double size beds. The main bedroom has its own bathroom and separated wc. For the others there is a large bathroom with wc. This is our home and we love living here and welcoming family and friends to share it with us.

Our neighborhoods are quiet and calm. At 6 kms you find a beautiful golf in a splendid castle park:" La Breteche". The very famous beach of "La Baule" is at 35 kms. Our house is situated at the side of a regional park of "La Brière". The town of Saint Nazaire( 25 kms)is wellknown for its shipyards where you can see the most beautiful and the biggest ships. You can visit the historical town of Guerande, the salt marshes, the savage coast ? We are at 30 mn from Nantes; (art gallery, museum, castle, monuments, shops). We have in Pont-Château restaurants, a swimming-pool, tennis court, a little forest, possibility to go canoeing. Something about ourselves

My wife Babeth (48) and me Gilles (51) have 1 daughter Fantine (13); we have four others children but not for the exchange. Babeth works in a shipping agency in Nantes-Saint Nazaire harbour and I am teacher. We travel all together every summer abroad or in France. We exanged once last year and it was a real success. we are sure now that it's a excellent way to discover new country and new cultur. We are ready to contact the other family by email or phone (my wife speaks English fluently) to prepare the journey as good as possible.
