The bastide towns of Castillonnes, Villareal, Issigeac and Eymet burst into life on their particular market day when you can buy fresh locally produced fruit, vegetables, cheese, wine and arts and crafts. Regional delicacies include prunes, foie gras, magret, ceps, walnuts and confit. Regional wines include Bergerac, Buzet, Monbazillac, Duras, Saint Emilion and Bordeaux. Places of interest are Bergerac, Penne d'Agenais, Sarlat, Ste Foy le Grande, Miramont and Duras where chateau, market squares, old towns and churches are all well worth a visit. Market day in Eymet is Thursday morning and there is a great selection of restaurants, bars and cafés where you can linger over lunch or dine à la carte in the evening. ![]() Something about ourselves

Tony and Moira have lived permanently in France since 2003. Being semi retired recently we now have more time to travel and wish to take this opportunity to see a little more of the world. Our two sons currently reside in Sydney Australia and a nice option would be to visit them there but we would also like to travel to other far flung places in search of sunshine, skiing and adventure. Our property is available for exchange from mid September to beginning of November; and beginning of April to mid june each year. ![]()
