Description of our house
Our house sits in Eyragues, Provence, the mediterranean part of France. This village is nested between Avignon and Saint-Rémy in a very attractive country. Our house has 2 floors with 4 bedrooms - 2 bathrooms - 2 WC - very well equipped kitchen - american refrigerator - dining/sitting room - back kitchen - big covered terrace - LCDTV/VHS/DVD - library - antiques furniture. There are 2 double beds in first and second bedroom and 2 single beds in the third and fourth bedroom. The main bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with shower and bath. The House sits on a private tree lined garden of 4000 square meters with securised swimming-pool (10 X 5) and playground for children. Our neighborhoodOur home is situated a short walk (15 mn) from the center of Eyragues (population 4000) where there are convenience shops, a pharmacy, post office, little supermarket, church, doctors and a public bus stop. The area is quiet and peaceful. 7 km away sits the very well known touristic town of Saint-Rémy (population 12,000) in which there are lots of shops, restaurants,cafés, cinema and historic buildings in a very beautiful landscape. Avignon (population 100 000 ) is 15 km away. Within easy driving distance there are many touristic and cultural sites : Les Baux in the Alpilles hills, Arles, Nîmes, beaches of wild Camargue, regional natural park of Luberon, Aix, Marseille, .... Our part of Provence is also well known for olive oil, wine, fruits and vegetables.... Marseille has an international airport 70 km from our house with direct and indirect flights for Sweden, Norway, London ( very low cost companies Ryanair.... ). Iceland is linked with British airways.

Something about ourselves We are a french family: - Jean-Marie, aged 49 years, professor of history in a high school. - Regine aged 47 years old, is at home full time. - Alixe, 17 yrs, in secondary school, learning english and spanish and she enjoys rowing... - Victoire, 15 years in secondary school, learning english, also she enjoys rowing. - Hermance 7 years, she enjoys little poneys and petshops... We are non-smoker people and we are very considerate with house and cleanliness ; we have a cat to feed and so we can't accept any pets. We have done 32 previous exchanges since 1999, we can offer references, if required. We enjoy cooking and eating in foreign countries and experiencing local culture : museums.... We love walking, biking and swimming.
