Description of our house

Our house is more than 100 year's old and has been recently completely renovated. It is very nicely situated in the centre of a beautiful little mediterranean town on the sea coast. It remains very very quiet even if we are right in the centre. If you want to look on google map : the exact adresse is '73 traverse de la douane' and is right in the centre of La Ciotat. It is 5 mn walk from the beaches, 2 mn walk from the beautiful harbor and market square, 10 mn walk from the 'Calanques'. From our house, you can go everywhere by foot. Around the corner, you will find the best of France with cafés, bakeries, wine shop, fishermen on the harbor, nice restaurants etc... When you enter the house, you arrive directly on a little wooden terrace with a BBQ and everything to feel good while drinking Pastis! We have 3 bedrooms : 2 kingsize beds and 1 baby bedroom where eventually we can put a matress for one person, 1 bathroom with toilets. The living room and the kitchen are in an open space viewing the terrace .

LA CIOTAT is located in one of the nicest part of France : LA PROVENCE. It is on a triangle between Marseille (30 km), Aix en Provence (50 km) and Toulon (30 km). The coast is at the end of the famous Calanques of Cassis wich is about 15 km away. In La Ciotat, you also have 2 beautiful calanques made of very different stones (red) compared to the one from Cassis (white). Many activities are possible: snorkeling, scuba diving, hiking, climbing, swimming, museums, shopping, cinemas, etc... We are about 1 1/2 hour drive from the region of Camargue, Les Baux de Provence, Avignon etc... Something about ourselves

My name is Helene. I speak English, German and a few words of Italian. I work in a shipyard in Toulon and Denis, my husband, is a 3D designer and speaks also English. We both love scuba diving and in general we can't be away from the water more than 1 week !!! we love having friends around and taking time with others around a good meal or a glass of good wine. One of our hobby is the theater and we both belong to a theatre company in La Ciotat. We love travelling around and discovering other cultures. Denis has 2 children (21 and 23) from a first wedding. They don't live with us as they study in Paris. In May 2011, I gave birth to a wonderful little boy called Killian.
