![]() Our neighborhood
Urban but leafy area, a stone's throw from the European Institutions, and 10 minutes away from the city center by tram (stop 50 yards away, on the street, but very silent). Strasbourg offers a large variety of museums, cultural and outdoor activities for all ages. The city itself, with its incredible cathedral and medieval center is worth visiting. You can also tour the town by boat! The area is at the center of Europe, less than TWO hours'drive from German cities like Stuttgart and Heidelberg, Switzerland (Basel, Bern, Zurich), Nancy, Besançon. PARIS is only 2 hours and twenty minutes away by TGV. Colmar and the famous "Route des vins" d'Alsace are at the door. Three of my four grand'children live in Strasbourg, and my home is provided with all the facilities to welcome them, although there is no play-ground as such, but a beautiful city park and a swimming pool within walking distance. Something about ourselves
I am Nadine, a 60 year-old retired English teacher, I and live alone. I love to travel, and am most interested in large cities in Europe and North America. I enjoy art, architecture, music and the theatre. I usually travel with a friend, Michèle, who is a retired teacher in Latin, Greek, and French literature, and we need two separate bedrooms. ![]()
