Our house is situated in a park-like setting with private vacation homes, at an altitude of 1500m', just above the authentic mountain village ALLOS. That's near the origin of the Verdon River, in the sunny southern French Alps. The valley of the Verdon is a relatively unknown and unspoilt area, ideal for nature lovers and mountaineering. The nearby National Park "Mercantour", offers splendid opportunities for walks and car rides.
Recreation opportunities, water sports at the various rivers and lakes, lively markets with culinary regional products. For children there are several facilities in the leisure park, a 10 minutes walk away, including a swimming pool with waterslide.
The skiruns open from Christmas to Easter, you will find it a very charming ski resort. La Foux d'Allos (which communicates with Praloup) is the largest ski resort in the southern French Alps, it's less crowded and prices are lower than in the well-known ski areas in the Haute Alpes. Our house is at 500m' distance from the nearest ski lift.

We are Kees and Kathy, 59 and 51 years, we have one son, a student 19 years old. We love France and have lived there for a long time to renovate an old watermill. We now live in the Netherlands in the village Waarland just north of Alkmaar
I am a civil engineer and my wife is a nurse. We like to travel, but for us it's only possible during the school holidays. The apartment is either used by ourselves or will be rented out during the Christmas and school holidays in februari, swapping during these weeks is therefore not really our intension.
