Our home offers clean spacious living areas with various options for relaxing and dining. The sitting and dining areas lead onto a large south facing sunny conservatory, facing a terrace and BBQ area, overlooking our large garden, with glimpses of the South Downs. During the winter months the house is cosy and warm with central heating and open fire in sitting room. There is a large oven and 6 hobs for family cooking indoors. Large dining tables are provided in the conservatory as well as the dining area. Additional double sleeping accomodation can always be arranged in downstairs office space in addition to the 3 double bedrooms and single room.

We live in the village of Henfield in the beautiful South Downs area of West Sussex. Henfield has all facilities for shopping with a village supermarket, bakery, greengrocer with fresh produce and there are plenty of pubs and restaurants locally and within pretty surrounding villages. There are plenty of footpaths and river walks with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. There are many other places of interest close by to explore. Brighton and the seaside are 25 minutes away, Gatwick airport thirty minutes drive, with easy links to Europe. The nearest railway station is 6 miles, with regular trains to London and other destinations. Bus services run regularly from the village to destinations such as Horsham and Brighton. There are many nearby golf courses,swimming pools, health spas and activities for children including horse riding. For garden lovers there are some beautiful gardens open to the public. We are Julia and Carl, a married couple. We love walking, entertaining and have regular visitors. Julia is a Herbalist with a passion for painting, reading and gardening. Carl is a film director/writer, with interests in woodworking and stained glass. We used to live in Sydney, on the lower North Shore our boys were born and grew up there. We love Sydney and try and return as often as possible to visit family and friends. We have had four wonderful home exchanges in Sydney and look forward to more. Our dates sometimes can be flexible.
