Large country house yet close to the city 25 minutes by car rail link to London same distance fast train 1hr 30 mins. 2 Lounges overlooking the garden and pond. Dining room. Large kitchen/diner. Utility room, two downstairs bedrooms and large family bathroom. Upstairs 3 further bedrooms large master bed having ensuite. Another bathroom serves the two other bedrooms all doubles all with pleasant views of grounds and woodland. The woodland is a haven for wildlife.rabbits and squirrels outside everywhere. Car can be used if UK driving licence held/bikes available.

Located in heart of Sherwood forest lovely forest walks in grounds which are 18 acres and direct access into the forestry for extended lovely wooded walks. 2 minutes drive from Lord Byrons ancestral home Newstead Abbey a very touristy area for Nottingham and all it has to offer. . Nearby is horse riding /Golf/Fishing/Swimming pools(inside). We are 20 minutes by car from Nottingham city centre with excellent shopping nightlife and history to explore. 30 mins from Historic Newark and 60 mins from Lincoln (Da Vinci code fame)Car/bikes etc can be left if reciprocal. Longdale Craft centre adjoins our property lots of local history there. Nottingham is in the Midlands so handy for touring the UK. Something about ourselves

We are a married couple of 41 years aged 62/61 but young at heart. We have lived in Australia as we were £10 poms back in the 70`s. My husband will soon be a retired Electrical Engineer and I have worked in Banking and Insurance but now retired. My daughter emigrated to Sydney 8 years ago and we like to visit for periods of 3-6months yearly but have our own place whilst there. My other daughter is in Nottingham only 2 mins away so can help if needed whilst you are here. Other locations considered as we plan to retire this year and do lots of travelling. Would prefer period Sept-April for swops in Oz but open to all offers.
