Description of our house
Apartment is lounge and 2 bedrooms and 1 x bathroom and fully fitted kitchen. Each bedroom has a double bed and will accomodate 2 adults each. The apartment is located on the 2nd floor of a 2 x story mock Georgian style block of flats. Apartment has a balcony in the lounge overlooking gardens and there are plenty of parking spaces. The apartment is all electric with electric central heating and cooking and is ideally located in a suburb of SW London not far from Heathrow airport in a town called Staines and is 5 minute drive from site of signing of 13th century Magna Carta and 15 minute drive to historic Windsor town and Windsor castle. 10 minute walk to Staines railway station with regular fast trains to central London 25-50 minutes depending on which type of train.

Our neighborhoodStaines was founded by the Roman legions 2000 years ago and was used by them as a stop-over on their marches from central London to the west of England.
The town is situated on the historic river Thames, the river that London is built on.
Modern Staines town centre with all the shops, cinema and traditional pubs are a few minutes walk from the apartment, which itself is located in a very quiet development close to the town centre. There are also parks within walking distance and also Staines Moor which is also accessible. There are boating and sailing activities on the river Thames and a boat can be hired and sailed up to Windsor and beyond, as an alternative to driving.
There are excellent road and rail links to central London with the main railway station 12 minutes walk away.

Something about ourselvesI am an adult male single parent with a highly intelligent 10 year old son who attends private school and is very mature for his age.
I am an international art dealer and this is reflected in the general tastes of both myself and my son.
We have an art business based in the far east and Staines is our European summer home ordinarily, but now, having discovered "home swaps" we are branching out for what we hope will be many new and exciting experiences for years to come.
