We are ideally situated just 5 minutes from the M53 motorway leading onto a major motorway network with a 4 hour drive south to London and a 4 hour drive north to Scotland and just 1.5 hours drive to the start of the beautiful Lake District and Yorkshire. We are 45 minutes from Manchester, 30 minutes from North Wales and just 25 minutes from the ancient Roman city of Chester. The train to Liverpool is a 5 minute walk away taking you to our world famous city in just 15 minutes and from there a bus could take you to Liverpool John Lennon Airport where budget airlines Easyjet and Ryanair fly to all destinations in Europe and beyond. The ferry terminals in nearby Birkenhead and Liverpool have daily car ferries to the Isle of Man and Ireland. ![]() Something about ourselves

We are May and Les, early retiries in our early sixties, we take much pride in our home and would take great care of yours. We are both keen on personal fitness and walked the Coast to Coast from the West Coast of Cumbria to Robin Hoods Bay on the East Coast. We did this in September 2012 where we met many Australians who had travelled over just to do the walk. Our daughters both live in Australia where we have spent a lot of time and where we did a six month series of house swaps in 2011/12 and although we want to visit other place in the world too, Australia, particularly Sydney, will always be our priority. ![]()
