The property is on the more desirable south side of Croydon, from where one can quickly access the trendy coastal town of Brighton ( less than an hour), and the appealing countryside of both the North and South Downs and rural Surrey/Sussex/Kent. The motorway network is accessed south of Coulsdon, about twenty minutes drive, which gives convenient links to both Gatwick and Heathrow airports, and tourist destinations such as Hampton Court Palace, Windsor Castle, Richmond Park, Kew Gardens, etc., etc. Croydon itself has a number of attractive parks, walking trails, tennis courts and many golf clubs, places of worship, amongst other amenities. Gatwick airport is forty minutes drive at most, also accessed by all night trains. Heathrow airport is not too far away, and there is an express bus to and from Croydon.

I am a divorcee with a son (42) and granddaughter (13), and have recently part-retired at the end of 2011, thus leaving me free to travel for longer periods. I used to be employed as a Family Court Adviser in the Family Courts, essentially acting as a consultant cum Children's Guardian to judges in these Courts, helping mediate and resolve conflict over future contact and living arrangements for children when their parents are in dispute; inter-country adoptions being another area of expertise. I am now working in a voluntary capacity as a caseworker for an ex-military personnel charity, a regional organiser for matching foreign students in the UK looking for a short homestay experience, and a primary school governor. I was also a volunteer Gamesmaker at the recent London Olympic Games.My particular interests are tennis, photography, sailing, cooking, travel and socialising!
