Our home is an old Victorian-period semi-detached house in a cul-de-sac (a close) located a ten minute walk from the town centre and train station of Gravesend in the county of Kent. Our home is of an average size, three bedrooms, fitted kitchen, central heating, separate shower and tub in the bathroom and our lounge/diner features a large Italian marble table and 40 inch Sony full HD LCD TV with blu-ray player, plus premium sports and movie channels from SKY and Nintendo Wii games console. We also include a home book with details of how things such as electric appliances, central heating, etc work in our house and have collected many brochures and leaflets related to nearby places of interest. Our home is fully equipped for small children, including bicycles for the whole family.

Gravesend is 20 miles south east of central London (reached by car or rail) and is a historic town situated on the River Thames most famously known as the burial site of Pocahontas, as depicted in the Disney film. The countryside is minutes away, the coast a little further and Kent boasts cathedrals, castles and reknowned places such as Canterbury. THE NEW HIGHSPEED RAIL SERVICES WILL TAKE YOU TO THE 2012 OLYMPIC VENUES IN 10 MINUTES AND LONDON KINGS CROSS/ST PANCRAS STATION IN 17 MINUTES. We are the Whitehouse family; Darren is a finance worker in The City of London and Lee is a school teacher specialising in art and design,along with young sons Max (born 2004) and Milo (born 2007) we love to travel. Already our two boys have experienced trips to various European destinations and both the east and west coasts of Australia and the USA, and most recently Dubai,Barbados, and Lanzarote. We are only able to travel during the UK school holidays HAVING RETURNED FROM OUR FIRST AND VERY ENJOYABLE EXCHANGE (FLORIDA - APRIL 2009)AND HOSTED BY WONDERFUL FAMILIES (CALIFORNIA - JULY 2009) WE ARE EAGER TO RECEIVE NEW AND EXCITING OFFERS. IN THE RECENT PAST WE HAVE ALSO ALLOWED FAMILIES FROM DENMARK AND FRANCE TO STAY AT OUR HOME ON A NON-SIMULTANEOUS BASIS. ![]()
