Description of our house

![]() ]
We live in an amazing part of London. You can walk to Kensington Palace, Harrods or the antique market on Portobello Road. All the major tourist sights in London are a few minutes away by tube. Notting Hill has a village feel and is full of fun shops and restaurants. You can probably spot a few celebrities...Simon Cowell, Richard Branson, Annie Lennox, Peter Gabriel...all have homes close by! Our home is a 3 story townhouse with 3 bedrooms (two with double beds, one with a single bed, and a sofabed in the living room that is small but could fit 2 children). We have a patio garden with table and chairs and a BBQ. We also have access to the largest private garden in London with a tennis court and children's play area. From here you can explore all of England...the trains are easy and reliable. You can even hop on the train and be in Paris in a few hours.

We love living in Notting Hill. Our area has a very "village" feel. Shops for food are just around the corner or you can buy fresh fruit and vegetables on the Portobello Road. ( which is also one of the biggest antique's markets in London) You don't need a car at all (in fact you can't bring one because of the parking restrictions!) we walk everywhere. You can even rent a bike and ride all around London. We are surrounded by great restaurants and beautiful parks. Museums and historical sights are a short ride away on the underground or "tube". We are a 5 minute walk from Notting Hill Gate tube station or buses leave every few minutes for central London. If you want to shop, Oxford Circus or the new Westfield Shopping Centre are a short walk or ride away. Something about ourselves

I am an American who has lived in London for 22years. My husband is the local vicar (pastor). We met when I came to study in Cambridge. We have had 4 fantastic exchanges and are hoping to take our 2 teenagers somewhere fun and would prefer a house or flat with a pool. We also have a second home in Surrey, near Windsor, so we could offer that as well. ![]()
