Description of our house
Elegant one bedroom apartment on the ground floor of a white stucco Regency house, furnished with some antiques as well as a dressed four poster bed. Suitable for one person or couple without young children. There is a full sprung sofa be in the living room. No smokers.
This apartment is located in a quiet residential area within a Regency conservation zone of central London. It is convenient as well as delightful with a wonderful village atmosphere. It is close to Sloane Square and Knightsbridge. Local tubes and buses are close by. However, walking is so convenient to most of the central London shopping areas and parks one rarely needs transport.
My friend and I are interested in any part of Europe as we will drive to it. We cannot contemplate other continents presently.

Our neighborhoodI am situated in a prime area of London close to the River Thames, the Tate Gallery and the Houses of Parliament, as well as Kings Road, Buckingham Palace and St James's Park. It's a wonderful part of town.
Our interests are antiques, architecture, art galleries, museums, music, mostly classical and opera but open to all music. We also enjoy country pursuits, horses, wild life, gardens, the beach but not the hot weather. We prefer to travel to warmer climates in winter and spring and the colder climes in summer. We are open for periods of no less than one week and up to 4 weeks.

Something about ourselvesI am Jacqueline, a retired female Interior Designer/short film producer, who will travel with Harry, a retired male architect friend.
We are both non smokers, vegetarians and now appreciate a quiet more thoughtful life.
We would like to spend the month of November/December 2008 to March/April 2009, in the South of France and to go to Geneva, Switzerland, or close to it, for sometime June/July or August 2009.
We are also looking for a 3 to 4 month rental in the South of France for the winter 2008-2009. No high walk ups and must have parking available as we will drive.
