We have owned our house in Fleet for 20 years from new. It is a large detached property set in a small private road of 4 houses. The entrance hallway and upstairs landing provides access to all principal rooms.
Downstairs there is a large modern kitchen all the usual appliances and a table and chairs for 4 people. Off the kitchen is a small laundry room with washing machine, dryer and sink. There is also a separate formal dining room with seating for 8/10. The lounge is comfortably furnished with two three seater settees and a single armchair plus a television. There is also family room which has two settees, 47" flat screen TV and cable. A separate study with high-speed internet and to complete the downstairs is a cloakroom and understairs coats cupboard.
Upstairs are 3 double bedrooms with king sized beds and a single room, the Master bedroom has an ensuite and dressing room, there is also a separate family bathroom.
Outside there are gardens to the front, side and rear of the property, a large detached double garage, a greenhouse and shed. We live in the small town of Fleet in the Hampshire countryside approximately 40 miles south west of London. We are a short walk from the town centre with its host of shops, small mall, pubs, wine bar and restaurants.
The train station is an easy walk with direct trains to London(Waterloo) in 42 minutes. London Airport (LHR) is 25 miles away by car and we have easy access to the M3 (to London, the South and South West Motorway). Windsor is 30 minutes drive away, Winchester 45 mins, Portsmouth 45 mins, Salisbury 60 mins & Bournemouth/Poole 75 mins.
Opposite the house is a small park and we are within walking distance of the Basingstoke Canal(32 miles long)with its many locks and abundance of wildlife. Large areas of forestry land are also nearby readily accessible to anyone. There are four golf courses nearby and our clubs are available for your use along with two bikes to explore the countyrside. I am a retired accounts manager and my husband is a civil engineer who will be retiring shortly. We have been married for 42 years and have three married sons. One son is living near Auckland, NZ another son lives in the Middle East and the third son near Salisbury, Wiltshire. We have one grandson in NZ and one granddaughter in the UK.
We love to travel and in the last few years have visited Kuala Lumpur, Kathmandu, Australia, New Zealand, New York and The Maldives.
We were until recently living and working in Abu Dhabi for 5 yeats and have now returned to the UK.
Our hobies are golf and cycling but my main interest is running. We are also active members of Lions International.
