For the past 15 years we have always had great pleasure in using this home. It offers comfortable and spacious accommodation over three floors in a superb location overlooking Lymington river. The house has two light and airy living areas, one on the ground floor with French windows onto the garden (afternoon sun) and one on the first floor overlooking the yachts in the river (morning sun). There is a fully equipped large kitchen with an adjacent open plan dining area with beautiful wood flooring. The master bedroom has a king-sized 6' bed and stunning views over the marinas and river. There are three further bedrooms with twin beds, a double bed and a single bed. The garden is fully enclosed with well maintained shrubs and mature trees offering plenty of room for outdoor entertaining.

The house overlooks the Lymington River estuary and has views out across the Solent to the Isle of Wight. From the house it is possible to walk in one direction along the Solent Way through extensive coastal marshland/bird sanctuaries and in the other direction into the historic town of Lymington with it's famous Georgian High Street. There is a very popular street market every Saturday and many interesting shops and good eating places. Lymington is on the edge of the New Forest National Park which offers extensive walking, riding and cycling opportunities, as does the Isle of Wight which is a short ferry ride away. Hurst Castle, Osbourne House, The National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, Exbury Gardens, Bournemouth and Southampton are some of the many attractions within easy reach and London is less than 2 hours away. ![]() Something about ourselves

We are Corinne & Nick, a professional couple in our mid 50's, with three grown-up children who have recently left home. Nick's background is in the telecommunications industry and as such has worked in many different countries. We lived for five years in California and still have a passion for travelling. We love sailing and have a sailing boat moored in Lymington. Corinne's background is in Project Management of artistic installations. Her passions are music and gardening. Our main home is in Sunbury on Thames, some 40 minutes from central London and we would be very happy for exchange visitors to spend time with us in the house as part of their stay in the UK. ![]()
