Seaford is a lovely town situated on the picturesque South Coast of England. It has excellent transport links with London only a 1 hour 20 mins. train ride away. The vibrant city of Brighton & Hove is just 30 mins. away with the ferry port of Newhaven (10 mins. away) offering sailings to Dieppe and Brittany, France. Seaford has a good range of local shops, restaurants and a large supermarket. There is a leisure centre with gym, sporting activities and swimming pool. There are lots of golf courses in the area where you can enjoy the breathtaking and varied views of the Sussex countryside. There are many watersport activities on offer and opportunities for both shore and sea fishing. The seafront has a long wide promenade that leads in one direction to nearby clifftop walks over the South Downs and in the other direction to a beautiful nature reserve and cycle pathways. East Sussex is one of the most popular places in Britain to live - with it's stunning countryside, unspoilt beaches and wealth of historical towns it offers so much to explore. The county is steeped in history from stately homes, castles and forts to the amazing Brighton Pavilion. London is very accessible and the nearby city of Brighton & Hove offers excellent shopping, restaurants, theatre and nightlife. Who could resist a day or short trip to France from Newhaven which is only 10 mins. from us? It is a delight sit at a harbour-side cafe, soaking up the atmosphere of this pretty fishing port ![]() Something about ourselves

My name is Les. I'm 57 years old and have recently retired from teaching Art to children with special needs. I'm now enjoying more time to return to painting for my own pleasure. My husband, Den is 64 and a recently retired property developer. We therefore look forward to many wonderful home exchanges. We have three amazing children who have all grown up and no longer live at home. We are experienced exchangers having enjoyed fantastic swaps to Florida, California, Seattle, Canada and South Africa. We have made so many friends both with our exchange families and their welcoming neighbours. We also have a second home in Calpe, Costa Blanca, Spain which we love and spend quite a lot of time at. We are happy to exchange our home in Spain which makes non-simultaneous exchanges for either property possible. ![]()
