A comfortable semi detached house overlooking a large field with a children's park at the far end. Small garden at the front and private terraced area at the back, with a well-cared for, mature small garden and chiminea. Garage. Newly decorated with living room, dining room, study and fully fitted, convenient kitchen. Two double bedrooms and one single, all with fitted wardrobes. Gas central heating with easy to use gas fire in living room. Power-type shower as well as bath. Lots of books, CDs, DVDs and children's toys. We have lived in this house for 26 years and never intend to move anywhere else.

Our house is a short riverside walk away from the city centre which has several interesting and historic buildings such as the eleventh century castle and the cathedral. There is also a very child-friendly museum and several parks. Carlisel has an excellent shopping centre and is close to the motorway for travelling further afield. We are 10 miles from Gretna and 45 minutes from the Lake District, which is a wonderful place for walking or just looking. Something about ourselves

We are Ken and Andrea. We are in our 50s with two grown up children and grandchildren. Our daughter and her children live in Carlisle so we see a lot of them, but our son and his wife live in Spain so we like to spend as much time with them as we can. We thought we would give this a try in the hope of being able to exchange properties with people in Spain. We are both professionals - community psychiatric nurse and teacher - and work hard so try to make the most of our holidays. We enjoy the theatre, music, reading and cycling.
