Our holiday home in Carbis Bay, just one mile along the coast from St Ives in Cornwall, England is a contemporay detached house on a hill above Carbis bay beach. Sea views from the lounge look out to the beach and headland surrounding the famous Godrevy lighthouse. Carbis Bay itself has been internationally recognised as one of the most beautiful in the world. The house has a large lounge, large kitchen/dining room and a gallery landing which gives it a light and airey feel. It carries a 5* Gold rating from the english tourist board and is therefore furnished and maintained to a very high standard. A twenty minute coastal walk or 5 minute coastal train journey takes you into St Ives, with its range of beautiful beaches, surfing, fine restaurants and of course the Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth Museum.

St Ives is located at the tip of Cornwall and benefits from a (for England) warm sunny and balmy climate courtesy of the gulf stream. This part of Cornwall has numerous beautiful rocky coves and beaches to explore. As Britain's number 1 beach holiday destination, there are a host of attractions and activities for all ages within the surrounding area. High class golf courses abound, with two particularly tough links courses very nearby. Surfing beaches and schools are dotted all along this part of the Cornish coast. The historic capital of Cornwall, Truro is a short drive away as are many renowned places made famous by the writer Daphne du Maurier, including the real Jamaica Inn. ![]() Something about ourselves

We are Kelvin and June, a married couple (age 60 and 54) with two almost grown up daughters. We both retired early after the sale of an IT company in 2006. We have a school age daughter, which restricts us to school holiday periods for our side of any exchanges. Our holiday home is usually solidly let during the summer, but usually has some availability in April - June . The rest of the year it is available for exchange. September - November is a particularly good time to visit, as the weather is still warm, but the crowds have departed. ![]()
