Falmouth is a lovely seaside town with many facilities all within walking distance of the house. It has numerous restaurants, a castle, art galleries, pubs, swimming pools, cinema, a maritime museum and beautiful beaches. There are many boat trips to surrounding areas of interest and for those who enjoy the sea, the opportunity to sail, snorkel, dive and surf is all on the doorstep. The region offers amazing coastal scenery, exotic gardens, the Eden project, Minack theatre and megalithic sites. We are also very close to the beautiful Isles of Scilly which you can reach by ferry or air. Falmouth itself is accessible by air (nearby Newquay airport, Exeter or Bristol),train, coach, ferry (Plymouth) or car. Although a car is useful to explore, you can exist quite happily without one as our Spanish exchangers did, using instead trains and boats to discover the area. ![]() Something about ourselves

We are a family of four. My name is Caroline and I'm an Art teacher, currently teaching English to foreign students in our home. My partner Eric is French and teaches adults with learning difficulties and is also a musician in a band. Between us we have two 15yr old girls. We also have a very friendly cat called Licorice who would only need feeding, but would also enjoy attention if given! We enjoy music, art, swimming, cooking, gardening, ![]()
